Steven G. Judy

Steven G Judy, 75, of Ammon, Idaho, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 31, 2021, surrounded by his loving family at Idaho Falls Community Hospital.

Steve was born September 2, 1945, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Alva Clark Judy and Louie Dean Otteson Judy. He grew up and attended schools in Ammon, and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1963. Summers were spent working on the family dry farm at Ozone, Idaho, and irrigated farm in Ammon.

On June 2, 1967, he married Sharel Diane Knight in the Idaho Falls Temple. Steve and Sharel made their home in Ammon where Steve worked in farming and cattle.

Steve was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a two-year mission in the Northeast British Mission in England. Fifty years later, he and his wife served a two-year service mission at Sellars Creek Ranch and Trekking in Bone, Idaho. Steve enjoyed serving in other temple, stake, and ward callings.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Sharel Judy of Ammon; daughter, Nichole Marie (Josh) Dingman of Mesa, AZ; sons, Steven Lynn and Joshua G, both of Ammon; five grandchildren, Ashley, Taylor (Kaide), Kylee (Tyler), Nathan, and Natalia, all of Ammon; and brother, Doyle (Karen) Judy of Ammon.

He is preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Vanice Marie Judy; brothers, Gary, Lynn, Darwin, and Robert.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021, at the Ammon 5th Ward, 2055 S. Ammon Road, with Bishop Jeromy Caballero officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday, September 10, 2021, from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
