Steven Lynn Jepperson, 77, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 23, 2026, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Steve was born April 8, 1949, in Tremonton, Utah, to Steven Rasmus Jepperson and Evelynn Laura George Jepperson. He grew up and attended schools in Tremonton and graduated from Tremonton High School. Afterward, Steve served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Steve married Anna Marie Winter, and they had two children together. He married Melissa Sorensen and they also had two children. Steve had another son with Andrea Blood. Steve made his home in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in gold mining, and worked on the pipeline and hauled logs in Montana and Idaho.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, horses, riding Harleys, and playing his guitar.

Steve is survived by his son, Rocky Jepperson of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Daniel Jepperson of Salt Lake City, UT; son, Cody Jepperson of Frederick, CO; daughter, Shannon Jepperson of Frederick, CO; son, Chase Jepperson of Salmon, ID; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Steve Rasmus Jepperson; mother, Evelynn Laura Jepperson; brother, Robert Wayne Jepperson; and sister, Marilyn Fernelius Hansen.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls. Military Honors will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and the Idaho Honor Guard. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the services. Burial will be at noon on Friday, July 3, 2026, at the Bear River Cemetery in Brigham City, Utah.
