Steven Glenn Empey

Steve was born to Keith and Roberta Empey on November 15,1957. He grew up with sisters Kathy and Karen, and brothers Bruce, Robert, and Alan. He passed away April 9, 2023.

Steve met his cowgirl, Deborah, and married her July 28, 1978. A daughter, Joey, came along as his only child a year later. Joey and Trent provided him with two grandchildren, Ellie and Wayne, who called him "Pop".

Steve was a pipe fitter for many years. But, his real skill came later as a journeyman farrier. His talent, skill, and knowledge were legendary.

Dad, among the biggest lessons I learned from you, three things stand out. Always work hard for what you want, never back down if you are in the right, and go fishing when you can. We'll go fishing again. Love always, Joey.

Steve, you have traveled on to the mystic. You were always steady, loved mornings, your daughter, your dog, and you never left a meal without thanking me and telling me it was good. See you cowboy, in the by and by, Deb.
