STEVE SAMARGIS IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Steve Andrew Samargis, 68, of Idaho Falls, died August 30, 2004, at his home of cancer. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice. He was born May 10, 1936, in Idaho Falls, to Andrew Theodore Samargis and Anna Kralik Samargis. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He married Julie A. Kunz July 3, 1993, in Idaho Falls. He worked as a fireman with the City of Idaho Falls Fire Department and also did drywall work on the side. He also worked at Dad Clay’s Garage, Railroad Express, and Coca Cola. In his early years he worked at his dad’s shoe shop. He was a member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce Club and Toastmasters. He enjoyed fishing, skiing, hunting, music, wood crafting, fly tying, bird watching, gardening, mowing the lawn, and anything outdoors. Steve always had time to talk to you. Surviving are: Wife: Julie Samargis, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Mikki Nuckols, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Teresa Duque, Reno, NV Brother: Jim Samargis, Twin Falls, Idaho Brother: Francis “Tuffy” (Lea) Samargis, Stillwell, OK Sister: Elaine (Jim) Robbin, Washington & Montana Sister: Dona Samargis 4 Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ted and Frank Samargis, and a sister-in-law, Naomi Samargis. Memorial Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 2, 2004, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge). The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., Idaho Falls.
