Steve Eugene Polson, 79, of Roberts, passed away August 30, 2013, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls after a long illness. Steve was born April 20, 1934, in Roberts, Idaho, to Hugh Leroy Polson and Violet Smith Polson. He grew up and attended schools in Roberts. He served in the United States Army after World War II. On October 30, 1958, Steve married Marie Alta Campbell at Idaho Falls, Idaho. To this union were born two daughters, Jolene and Terrie. Steve and Marie made their home in Roberts, Idaho, for forty years where Steve worked as a farmer.In his earlier years he worked as a tire man at Fred & Wayne’s Car Care Center. He enjoyed hunting, camping, canning, planting his garden, farming, and watching things grow. Steve is survived by his Daughter, Jolene (Felix) Ceja of Idaho Falls, ID; Daughter, Terrie (Elmer) Knutson of Granite Falls, MN; Sister, Lavonne Polson of Idaho Falls, ID; Sister, Shirley Shelly of Vellejo, CA; 2 grandsons, Quintin Knutson and Steven Ceja He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and two brothers Dewayne and Verl Polson.. Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2013, at Market Lake Cemetery, Roberts, Idaho. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to noon, both at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. Burial will be in the Market Lake Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by the Jefferson County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
