Steve D. Martin - 10/16/2002 Steve D. Martin - 10/16/2002 STEVE D. MARTIN IDAHO FALLS, ID: Steve D. Martin, 59, of Ammon, died October 15, 2002 at his home of cancer. He was born August 21, 1943 in Sterling, Idaho to Jacob Martin and Gladys Bethel Blair Martin. When he was 13 years old, his family moved to Mackay, and then later to Blackfoot where he graduated from Aberdeen High School. He married Janet VanOrden on March 31, 1962 in Idaho Falls. On May 24, 1974, their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He worked in both repair and sales in the automotive and trucking industry. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was currently serving as Finance Clerk. He enjoyed old car restoration, attending his grandchildren's activities, and just spending time with his family and friends. (Karrie) Martin, Idaho Falls, IDMother: Gladys Rogers, Blackfoot, IDBrother: William Martin, Salt Lake City, UTSister: Doris Hirning, Phoenix, AZSister: Dian Ott, Pahrup, NV7 GrandchildrenHe was preceded in death by his father, one brother, and one sister. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 18, 2002 at the Ammon LDS 2nd Ward (2945 Selway) with Bishop Kevin Murray officiating. The family will meet with friends on Thursday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East, 963 S. Ammon Rd., and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
