Stevan C. Adams, 71, of Ammon, peacefully passed away July 10, 2023, at Promontory Point Rehabilitation with his beloved wife, Julie Adams, by his side. He was under the care of his loving family.
Steve was born August 29, 1951, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Fred Adams and Barbara Ann Page Adams. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Bonneville High School.
Steve served a mission for his Church in the Northern States Mission and developed a great love for people and serving. He carried his love for the gospel of Jesus Christ and his mission throughout his life. He loved sharing stories of his mission and the gospel with his family and friends.
On May 22, 1976, he married Julie Lynn Adams in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Julie was his one true love and he was forever devoted to her and his family. Steve and Julie made their home first in Ammon, Idaho, and later in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Steve worked as a Power Plant Operator and Mechanic for Idaho Falls Power. Steve was a loyal employee and took great pride working for Idaho Falls Power.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved serving in many church callings, but his favorite was serving in the Idaho Falls Temple. He looked forward each week to his time in the temple. Steve also loved singing each year in Michael McLean’s “The Forgotten Carols.”
Steve’s greatest love was the love of his family. He loved his five boys and his grandchildren. Spending time with family was Steve’s joy in life and he was very grateful for each one of them. He was so pleased with his daughters-in-law and was very grateful for them.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing the guitar. Steve knew nearly every inch of Idaho’s back country and roads. He had stories for every campsite, each creek, and lake in Idaho. He loved to fish and hunt and everyone loved to hear his stories and victories. After retirement, Steve drove elk from Canada to places all over the United States. He was a skilled truck driver and he really enjoyed the adventures. Steve charmed the entire family with his guitar and singing skills. He entrenched deep traditions of singing and laughing around the campfire and could turn a backyard picnic into a full blown concert.
Steve is survived by his wife, Julie Lynn Adams of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Scott (Natalie) Adams of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Jeffrey Adams of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Douglas Adams of Idaho Falls, ID; son, David Adams of Rigby, ID; son, Stetson (Tiffany) Adams of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Clayton (Kris) Adams of Bellevue, ID; brother, Robert Adams of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Drew (Shawna) Adams of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Vaughn Adams of Idaho Falls, ID; sister-in-law, Wanda Adams; 5 grandchildren, Nicole, Audrey and Jack Adams, and Sadielyn and Iris Adams.
