Stephen R. Plock, 75, of Ammon, passed away September 13, 2025, from injuries sustained in an accident.
Steve was born August 10, 1950, in Davenport, Iowa, to George Edwin Plock Jr. and Janice E. Offerman Plock. He grew up and attended schools in Hacienda Heights, California, and graduated from Wilson High School. He also attended Mt. Sac Antonio College. He served in the United States Army as a tank driver for 2 years.
On September 1, 1973, he married Kathaleen Marie Harp in Winter Haven, Arizona. They made their home in Ammon, Idaho, where Steve worked as a postal carrier for the United States Postal Service.
He was a member of the VFW, Eagles Lodge, and Eagles Riders. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, riding ATVs, playing in the band, karate (he earned his Black Belt), and especially loving his grandkids.
Steve is survived by his daughter, Mindy (Scovill) Plock of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Mark Plock of Middleboro, MA; fiancé, Carla Blalock of Ammon, ID; sister, Julianne (Armando) Gomez of Saint George, UT; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathaleen Plock; grandparents, Lester Offerman, Helen Thiering, Madilyn Rudy, and George Edwin Plock Sr.; sister, Jayne S. Stern; and dogs, Maddy, Scrappy, and Sammy.
A Gathering for family and friends will be held from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. Military Honors will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard. A memorial dinner will be held immediately following services at the Eagles Lodge, 635 Hemmert Avenue, Idaho Falls, ID 83401.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Eagles Riders.
