STANLEY SAYER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Stanley Llewellyn Sayer, 87, of Idaho Falls, died January 4, 2006, at Turtle and Crane Care Center.
He was born November 28, 1918, in Rigby, Idaho, to Thomas Alma Sayer and Luzella Scott Morgan. He grew up in the Bone area and graduated from Iona High School. He joined the Army and served during World War II.
He married Dorothy Ruth Amos on November 21, 1952, in Stevensville, Montana. Dorothy died November 16, 1988. He owned a dairy farm in Stevensville and later dry farmed in the Bone area.
He enjoyed farming his whole life.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling.
He is survived by
Son, Donald (Sue) Mendel of Ammon;
Daughter, Charlet (Richard) Westover of Idaho Falls;
Brother, Glen (Donna) Sayer of Iona;
Sister, Roberta McIntire of Idaho Falls;
Sister, Genevieve Storer of Iona
He has 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his wife, five sisters, three brothers and a son, William Earl Mendel.
Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2006, at the Idaho Falls LDS 16th Ward (9th & Blvd) with Bishop Mark Richardson officiating. The family will meet with friends on Friday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and Saturday for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
