Spencer Grant Russell was born March 17, 1974, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Ferrele Ivol Russell and Shelley Wilcox Russell. He passed away unexpectedly November 5, 2014, while attending a business convention in Cancun, Mexico.
He received his education in Idaho Falls and taught himself how to perform hypnotism at a young age. Spence was a very talented, enthusiastic, outgoing man with a sunny disposition. When Spence found a subject of interest, he would research it relentlessly, eventually learning much about, and sometimes even mastering the subject he pursued. Spence was a great lover of good books. As a novice writer he was putting the finishing touches on his own novel. He loved music, playing his guitar and composing and singing his own songs. Spence had a deep, rich baritone voice. He worked as a DJ at a country music station, a dance club, and private parties and as an announcer. He also recorded radio commercials.
His main employment and passion was in sales. He worked for several companies. His newest adventure was opening a new branch of his current company in his own name.
Spencer is a member of The Church of Jesus Chris of Latter Day Saints. Spence was a beloved part of his extended family and a dedicated family man. He always said his favorite place was at home with his little family. He called his two daughters and his fiancée the apples of his eye.
Spence is survived by his fiancée, Anna Strickland, two daughters, Kassidy Russell and Tailey Strickland, stepson, Xander Gorton, father, Ferrele (Cheryl) Russell, mother, Shelley Wilcox, brother, Christian (Barbara) Russell, sister, Devone Pickrell, step brothers and sisters, Megan (Dave) Reed, Summer (Jeremy) Andrus, J. T. (Heather) Zemp, and Nick Zemp, and grandmother, Joyce Russell, as well as many aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Stone Russell, an infant sister, Melissa Russell, and his grandparents, Ivol Russell and Grant & LaRue Wilcox, and stepfather, Ike Ellis.
Rest in peace our dear Spencer.
