Sophie Denning - 07/08/2002 Sophie Denning - 07/08/2002 SOPHIE B. DENNING IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Sophie B. Denning, 87, of Idaho Falls, died July 6, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born December 25, 1914 in Chicago, Illinois to Elizabeth and Sotirios Fotopoulos. She was raised in Illinois and Ohio. She moved to San Francisco and other places throughout California. She married Harry Tsegeletoes in Illinois at the age of 15. They were later divorced. She married Dale Ainsworth Denning on August 5, 1955 in California. With the U. S. Army they were stationed in Germany for 5 years and had the opportunity to travel Europe., then settled in San Jose, California. They moved to Idaho Falls after retirement to help raise their granddaughters. Dale preceded her in death October 1999. She worked in many vocational fields including being a top saleswoman for Avon in the 1940's, and owned and operated restaurants. She was raised a member of the Greek Orthodox Church and later joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, cooking, gambling, mysteries and traveling. Surviving are:Son: George (Charlotte) Tsegeletoes, Mill Valley, CADaughter: Anne (Ed) Chadwick, Las Vegas, NVDaughter: Elizabeth (Jim) Bennison, Sonoma, CASon: Terry Tsegeletoes, San Francisco, CADaughter: Sandy Leoni, Petaluma, CADaughter: Constance (Michael) Purnell, Carmel by-the-Sea, CASon: John Denning, Atlanta, GADaughter: EvaMarie Denning Stevens, Idaho Falls, IDStepdaughter: Patricia (Charles) Millet, Eden, UT20 Grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by all of her sisters and brothers. Graveside Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2002, at the Iona Cemetery, with Bishop Tim Solomon of the Ucon 2nd Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, July 9, 2002 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Wood Funeral Home Eastside, 963 South Ammon Road.
