GRADY SHORT, JR.
IDAHO FALLS, ID --
Solon Grady Short, Jr., 78, passed away April 28, 2006, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from congestive heart disease.
He was born October 1, 1927, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, to Solon Grady Short and Cecilia Jane Thorne Short. He grew up and attended schools there.
He married Joyce Ann Frayer November 12, 1970, in Burley, Idaho. He worked as a farmer, a heavy equipment mechanic and operator, and as a truck driver. Due to his work in construction, they lived in many cities, including Burley, Idaho, for four years, and have lived in Rigby, Idaho the past 30 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, and loved boating, hunting and fishing.

Daughter: Linda Jane (Gerry) Knapp, Elko, NV
Son: David Grady Short, Sioux Falls, SD
Son: Andrew Lee Short, Idaho Falls, ID;
Brother: Wayne (Charlotte) Short
Sisters: Annabelle (Pat) Patrick,
Louise Mason, Betty (Jim)Rutherford
Verna Joy (Gerald) Scarrow, Charlotte Rose (Doug) McDiwekk.
12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; he was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Dora Jane, and a daughter, Peggy Louise.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, May 1, 2006, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, with Calvary Chapel of Idaho Falls officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to services at Wood Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Rupert Cemetery, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 2nd, under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
