Sidney Brooks Ralph, 94, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 30, 2012, at The Gables Assisted Living Center in Ammon, Idaho. He was under the care of his family and Creekside Hospice.
Sid was born November 13, 1917, in Hyrum, Utah, to Charles Henry Steven Ralph and Tressie Scarborough Ralph. He grew up in Hyrum and graduated from North Cache High School. He also graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor’s degree in Forestry.
During World War II he served his country as a Captain in the U. S. Army. Prior to his service in the military he worked as a County Extension Agent in Cache County, Utah.
In February 19, 1948, he married Emma Quayle in Butte, Montana. Emma passed away December 5, 1968.
In October, 1971, he married Beth Parrish in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Beth passed away on June 11, 2007. Sid was a general contractor in construction. Sid and an associate built and operated the restaurant that became Jack’s Chicken-Inn and later LeBaron’s.
A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he loved and served in scouting. Sid loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and motorcycling. He loved to spend time at their cabin in Island Park and enjoyed following the stock market.
Sidney is survived by his children,
Daughter, Vicki Kay (Lloyd) Dresbach of Provo, UT,
Daughter, Bonnie Brooke (Joe, deceased) Corbett of Millville, UT,
Daughter, Robyn Joye Averill of Yakima, WA
Son, Graig (Tamera, deceased) Ralph of Idaho Falls, ID
Daughter, Cindy (Doug, deceased) Mitchell of Ammon, ID;
12 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Emma, and his wife, Beth, an infant son, Randy Brooks Ralph, and two brothers, Stanley Ralph and Dennis Ralph.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, May 5, 2012, at the Logan City Cemetery in Logan, Utah. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue.
