Shirley Williams

Shirley Jean Williams, 93, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 20, 2026, at Grace Assisted Living Memory Care in Chubbuck, Idaho. She was under the care of Enhabit Home Health and Hospice and her loving family.

Shirley was born March 31, 1933, in Rexburg, Idaho, to George Martell Bell and Lilly Lucile Summers Bell. She grew up and attended schools in Rexburg and graduated from Madison High School.

On February 1, 1954, she married Steve Williams in Rexburg. Shirley and Steve made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Shirley worked as a sales associate for JoAnn's Fabric.

She was a member of Friends of the Library. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and gardening.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Linda (Keith) Hergesheimer; daughter, Cathy Williams; granddaughter, Stephanie (Brandon) Clark of Pocatello, ID; granddaughter, Natalie (Chad) Carlsen; granddaughter, Emily (Adam) Lattin; grandson, Jake (Melissa) Hergesheimer; 5 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Ammon Cemetery, 5226 East Sunnyside Road.
