DENESE HIGHTOWER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Shirley Denese Hightower, 77, of Idaho Falls, died July 22, 2007, at home of Alzheimer’s Disease. She was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
She was born April 7, 1930, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Percy B. Coburn and Annie McIntyre Coburn. She attended Eagle Rock Jr. High and Idaho Falls High School.
She married Voyle S. Hansen August 23, 1947. They made their home in Idaho Falls, where they raised their three children. He preceded her in death in 1972.
She married Collin Sloan Hightower September 7, 1973, at the Chapel of the Pines in Island Park, Idaho. They lived in Idaho Falls, where they welcomed their son, Lex, into the family.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, painting, square dancing, and round dancing with the Promenaders. She enjoyed playing fiddle and other instrument with the Old Time Fiddlers.

Daughter: Trenna Ann (Todd) Howell of Ashton, ID
Son: Lex Collin (Janae) Hightower of Idaho Falls, ID
Brother: Victor Coburn of Idaho Falls
Sister: Sandra Oyler of Idaho Falls, ID
12 Grandchildren & 9 Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband, Voyle Hansen, and a brother, Mack Coburn.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, with Wade Elkington officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Hospice of Eastern Idaho, 1810 Moran Street, Idaho Falls, ID 83401.
