SHIRLEY GNEITING
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Shirley Faye Betzina Gneiting, 74, of Idaho Falls, passed away on June 2, 2009, at her home.
She was born June 29, 1934, in Los Angeles, California, to John Betzina and Berniece Metcalf Betzina. The family moved to Idaho Falls, where she graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1951.
She married Kay Brown. They were later divorced. She married Otto Gneiting and they were later divorced. She was a mother, homemaker, and worked as a payroll administrator for Smith Chevrolet.
Shirley enjoyed reading, working, and especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors are:
Daughter: Pam (Dave) Crane, Idaho Falls
Son: Steven (Mary Ann) Brown, Idaho Falls
Son: Mike (Chris) Gneiting, Idaho Falls
Brother: Dean Metcalf, Lafayette, Louisiana
7 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2009, at the Three Fountains Clubhouse (near the pool). In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Idaho Falls Food Bank, 245 N. Placer, Idaho Falls, ID 83402.
