Shirley Dean Kidd Thomas Call, 92, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 21, 2016, at her home.
She was born March 14, 1924, in Rigby, Idaho, to Lawrence Winford Kidd and Anne Sorensen Kidd. She grew up and attended schools in Dubois, Idaho and graduated from Dubois High School.
On July 1, 1944 she married Edward Dean Thomas in Sarasota, Florida. Together they had three children, Larry, Bill, and Patti. Edward passed away in South Korea on November 8, 1966.
On August 15, 1969, Shirley married William F. "Bill" Call. He was a widower with four children, Diane, Susan, Billie, and Kevin. Shirley and Bill raised their seven children in Idaho Falls. She was a homemaker and mother.
Shirley was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Patti Thomas of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Larry (Laurie) Thomas of Houston, TX; stepson, Kevin (Kelly) Call of Idaho Falls; stepdaughter, Diane (Boyd) Zollinger of Idaho Falls; stepdaughter, Billie (Doug) Nelson of Idaho Falls; stepdaughter, Susan (Dan) Davis of Santa Rosa, CA; sister, Billie Thomason of Bend, OR; 16 grandchildren and 66 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, her son Bill Thomas, and her sister Myrna Green.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 24, 2016, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. with Bishop Kevin Call officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.woodfuneralhome.com
