Shirley Louise (Browning) Bridges

Shirley Louise Browning Bridges, 90, of Leadore, Idaho, passed away January 23, 2020, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Shirley was born October 29, 1929, in Roberts, Idaho, to Lyle Fredrick Browning and Gertrude Winters Browning.

When she was very young, her mother passed away. Her father then remarried Velma Charlotte Harmon Browning. She raised Shirley and was a very loving mother.

Shirley was raised in the Annis and Rigby, Idaho, area. She was very proud to have attended the one room School House in Annis and that she could say her ABC's backwards.

On November 8, 1947, she married the love of her life, Nate Mitchell Bridges. They made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They had two children, Kristine and Scott. They had many family adventures from camping, fishing, summers at the cabin at Palisades Reservoir, to snow skiing various places in the winter.

In October 1984, they began a new adventure. They moved to Lone Pine nestled in the mountains at Birch Creek, Idaho. Shirley was truly a city girl, but it didn't take her long to become a mountain girl. There they had many new adventures and made many friends that became family.

Shirley lived a long, full wonderful life. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristine Terry Holverson (Marion Holverson); granddaughter, Brandie Terry; sisters, Ella Mae Mitchell and Marie Strong; brothers, Harmon Browning and Ted Browning.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nate Mitchell Bridges; son, Scott Nate Bridges; and brother, Royce Browning. No services are planned at this time.
