Shirlene Smith

Shirlene Kay Smith, 59, passed away September 5, 2011, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born September 10, 1951, in Pocatello, Idaho, to John D. Cunningham and Darlene Celeste Stewart Cunningham. Shirlene attended schools in Idaho Falls. She lived in Pocatello, then moved to California and has lived in Idaho Falls for the past 40 years. Shirlene married James P. Smith on August 3, 1997 in Idaho Falls. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Shirlene loved western movies and shows, dancing, camping and music. She was survived by her husband: Jim P. Smith of Idaho Falls, ID; Brother: R. Kent Whitehead of Idaho Falls, ID; Sister: Mary Elizabeth Gardner of Idaho Falls, ID; Shirlene was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Jackie Lynn Whitehead Welsh. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2011, at Fielding Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, prior to going to the cemetery.
