Sheronne Justesen

Sheronne Louise Justesen, 78, of Ammon, passed away June 3, 2026, at her home. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice and her loving family. Her son, Clinton, an experienced nurse, worked skillfully and tirelessly down the stretch to keep her comfortable.

Sheronne was born October 30, 1947, in Portland, Oregon, to Albert Eldredge Dicks and Beatrice Mary Linto Dicks. She grew up and attended schools in Portland and graduated from Taft High School on the Oregon Coast. She made Lincoln City her home for 55 years, where she is fondly remembered.

Over the years she has been known as a fearless bodyguard for her little brother, a selfless single mother, Mrs. J., Grandma J, a yarnaholic, prolific crocheter, and an avid baseball fan (especially when her sons and grandsons were on the field).

She worked in the Lincoln County School District for over 30 years, becoming a powerful influence in the lives of the young students she loved so much. To them, she is affectionately remembered as Mrs. J.

In recent years, Sheronne has provided hundreds of winter scarves and hats to international students at BYU-Idaho, as well as hundreds more crocheted items to the Family Crisis Center. Those busy hands have blessed a lot of lives.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her faith sustained her through this recent battle with pancreatic cancer. Though sh lost this battle, she knew that an ultimate victory over death was assured by the resurrection of her Savior Jesus Christ. During her final days, her gaze was often riveted on images of Him.

Sheronne is survived by her son, Bryan (Kendra) Justesen of Rigby, ID; son, Clinton Justesen of Ammon, ID; brother, James Stanley (Jillian) Dicks of Eureka, MT; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, who she got to see for the first time just a couple days before her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held in Lincoln City- date and location will be updated as plans are finalized. Burial will be in the Pacific View Memorial Gardens in Otis, Oregon.
