SHELLIE HERBST Click here to view Shellie's Video Tribute IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Shellie Dawn Cordingley Herbst, 49, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 17, 2009, after an eight-year battle with cancer, living six years longer than expected. She was born November 15, 1959 in Ashton, to Guy Delane Cordingley and Connie Rae Robinson Cordingley. She grew up and attended schools in the Ashton area. On May 18, 1996, she married John Dale Herbst in Idaho Falls. Together they raised two daughters, Laci and Magan. Shellie was a stay-at-home mom. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings, including Relief Society secretary and Young Women’s secretary. Shellie enjoyed softball, volleyball, and basketball. She liked sports and any outdoor activities. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Shellie is survived by her husband John, and daughters Laci and Magan, all of Idaho Falls, her parents, Delane and Connie Cordingley of Ashton, ID, brother Shane (Kim) Cordingley of Layton, UT, and brother Kurt (Heather) Cordingley of Ashton, ID. She was preceded in death by her Cordingley grandparents and her Robinson grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at the St. Leon LDS Ward Building (6925 North 15 East) with Bishop D.J. Teigart officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday evening from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. and from 10 - 10:45 a.m. prior to services, both at the church.
