Shelley Sampson

Shelley Sampson, 57, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 22, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Shelley was born January 8, 1967, in Richfield, Utah, to Kenneth Sampson and Emalou Webb Sampson. She grew up and attended schools in Shelley, Idaho, and later graduated from Idaho Falls High School.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Shelley loved dancing and singing while growing up. She was a gifted poet and writer. She loved people and had a lot of compassion for those in need and had an unsurpassable kindness and a soft heart. She loved being in nature and making fairy gardens using her unique creativity.

One of the highlights of her life was having her son, Bronson, in 1991, with Damon Hunt.

Shelley loved all of her family members, especially her “kids,” as she fondly called her son, Bronson, and his wife, Kelsey, and their daughters, Aspen and Rosie.

Shelley is survived by her parents, Ken and Emalou Sampson of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Bronson (Kelsey) Hunt of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Julie (Nathan) Perry of Denver, CO; brother, Steve Sampson of Berkeley, CA; brother, Scott Sampson of Denver, CO;  and two granddaughters, Aspen and Rosie.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Irene Sampson; grandparents, Bill and Elizabeth Webb; and sister, Wendy Kay Sampson.

A family memorial will be held at a later date.
