It is with great sadness her family announces that Shelley Marie Johnson passed away on October 3, 2025, in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
She was born June 15, 1959, in Anchorage, Alaska. She was raised in Anchorage, and after graduating high school, moved to Hawaii to attend BYU. In December of 1989, she married Steve Johnson of Ririe, Idaho, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They raised their family together in Gilbert, Arizona, but later divorced. Shelley moved to Salem, Oregon, and lived there until moving to Idaho Falls in February of 2025 where she lived until the time of her passing.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Ryan Johnson (Silverton, Oregon), Emma Flores (Idaho Falls, Idaho), Mitchell Johnson (Idaho Falls, Idaho), and Garrett Johnson (Corvallis, Oregon) and her 7 grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, Joanne Debacon (Mt. Angel, Oregon), her sister, Jody Engen (North Pole, Alaska), and brother, John Goodman (Fairbanks, Alaska). She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Goodman (Anchorage, Alaska).
She loved to give back to her community, often donating time and gifts to women’s and homeless shelters. She was an avid couponer, collector of pigs, and always enjoyed a good game of cards. She will be greatly missed.
