Shawn Ogden

Shawn D. Ogden, 57, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 16, 2017, at Teton Post Acute Care & Rehabilitation. He was under the care of Solace Hospice. Shawn was born February 8, 1960, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Myrlin D. Ogden and Hazel Marie Sizemore Ogden. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls, at the Joshua Smith Foundation and at the Adventure Center. He later worked at the Development Workshop. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed riding horses, riding his motor bike, bowling, boating, and basketball. His favorite foods were hamburgers and french fries. Shawn loved every single holiday and especially attending any and all birthday parties. Shawn was a sweet spirit who loved everyone, and he was a friend to all. He loved participating in the Special Olympics and won numerous medals in track and field. Shawn is survived by his mother, Marie Ogden of Idaho Falls and sister-in-law, Starla Ogden of Idaho Falls. He was preceded in death by his father, Myrlin D. Ogden and brother, Jeffrey Lynn Ogden. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017, at the Iona LDS Stake Center, 7555 N. 55 East, with Bishop Jason Ward of the Ucon Cottonwood Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery.
