Shaun Lee Clary, 62, passed away at his home unexpectedly on October 7, 2026, after a courageous fight against stage 4 cancer.
Shaun was born on August 22, 1964, in Bountiful Utah, to Homer Les Clary and Marlene Edna Ziebarth Clary.
He grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1982. Shaun had a deep love and passion for motors; he was a very gifted mechanic. Over the years, he worked for Blackfoot Honda, Sunwest Yamaha, and Bott Yamaha.
He later opened his own mechanic shop, Protech Off Road, and was loved by all his loyal customers. Shaun began employment at the INL in 1998 at AMWTP as a waste management processor. He retired in 2024 due to the cancer.
He spent his early days enjoying mud bogging and participating in car shows. He has many trophies to attest to his love for motorsports. He enjoyed working in his shop and troubleshooting engines of all kinds.
Shaun married Bridget Eslinger in June, 2001. They later divorced, but remained friends. Shaun re-connected with the love of his life, “the girl of his dreams,” Pam Rosenkrance, and they married in May, 2010.
Shaun loved spending time with his family, especially his wife and two gentle giants (Kuma and Matata). He enjoyed many adventures at the cabin in Island Park, boating, jet skiing, ATV riding, floating, and so much more.
Shaun is survived by his loving wife, Pam Clary; father, Les Clary; stepchildren, Richard (Tavia) Martinez and Chelsie (Matt) Gerber; granddaughter, Xalia; brother, Troy (Cassie) Clary; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother; Marlene Ziebarth Clary; cousin, James Tabor; and aunt, Coleen Tabor.
A gathering in Shaun’s honor will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, in Ammon, Idaho.
