Sharron Eugene (Church) Lewis

Sharron Eugene Lewis, 86, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 14, 2024.

Sharron was born January 2, 1938, in Yellow Jacket, Idaho, to Earl Westley Church and Ruth Topin Church. She grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1955.

On May 23, 1955, Sharron married John (Joe) Leon Lewis in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Sharron and Joe made their home in Idaho Falls where Sharron worked as a Sears Catalog manager for many years.

Sharron was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a lifetime member of the Eagles. While in the Eagles, she progressed through all of the Chairs and served as Charter Member of Hands Across Boarders. She was Past National Eagles State President and Past Mountain Regional President. She was Past Grand Officer and Past State Eagles Mother, as well as Ladies Auxiliary President. She had many hobbies, which included spending time on the golf course, bowling, and playing pool. She was a wonderful wife and mother and took great joy in caring for her husband and two boys.

Sharron is survived by her sons, Ernie (Marjean) Lewis of Idaho Falls, ID and John (Jodi) Lewis of Kuna, ID; sisters, Margaret (Vernon) Hansen of Idaho Falls, ID and Shirley Johnson of Rexburg, ID; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on February 29, 2024, at the Eagles Lodge, 635 Hemmert, Idaho Falls, Idaho.
