Sharon Taylor

Sharon Taylor, 74, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away June 17, 2017, at her home.

Sharon was born February 17, 1943, in Centralia, Illinois to Herschel Elva Taylor and Florence Irene Klasen Taylor. She grew up in Chicago, Illinois and attended Siena High School.

She married Stephen Lee Sides on April 29, 1962, in Forest Park, Illinois, and then moved to Streamwood, Illinois. They moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1969, and then to Sun Valley, Idaho in 1980 for several years. They were later divorced.

Sharon attended Triton College in River Grove, Illinois in 1985, and earned her professional Security Officer certificate. She was a security guard and worked in retail for a few years after moving back to Tucson. In 1999, she moved to Idaho Falls. She enjoyed crafts, the outdoors, and had a love for penguins and dogs.

Sharon is survived by daughter, Sheila (Rusty) Kappel of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Scott Sides of Tucson, AZ; son, Sean (Christine) Sides of Castle Rock, CO; and 3 grandchildren; Amber Kappel, Brandon Kappel and Sam Sides.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dennis Taylor and sister, Irene Tanke.
