Sharon K. Smith, 64, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 23, 2012, at Idaho Falls Care and Rehabilitation Center. Sharon was born September 29, 1947, in Rexburg, Idaho, to George A. Smith and Dora E. Lafever Smith. Sharon grew up in Driggs, Idaho, then moved to Iona, where she graduated from Bonneville High School in 1965. Sharon attended business school and worked at the INL for several years before going to work as a secretary at State Hospital South in Blackfoot for 35 years. Sharon retired in October, 2006. At that time in her life she moved back to Idaho Falls to take care of her mother. Sharon was a great caregiver. She also took care of her brother, Vaun. Sharon enjoyed crocheting afghans for all of her family and many friends. She loved playing and winning at Bingo and she relished finding imaginative gifts for Christmas and birthdays. She loved her cats, jewelry and reading. Her health began to fail after breaking both of her hips. She resided at Idaho Falls Care and Rehabilitation Center for the last years of her life. Her family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers who were so kind and efficient at Idaho Falls Care and Rehabilitation Center. Sharon is survived by her brother, Leslie Swen (Nancy) Smith of Idaho Falls. ID; a niece, Georgiann, her nephews, Jabez (Kerri) Smith; Ethan (Brittany) Smith, and Wyatt Smith, and her “loves,” her grandnieces, Jadyn, Kailee and Londyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Blair and Vaun, and a nephew. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2012, at the Driggs Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 am. Friday at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, prior to going to the cemetery.

11:30 a.m. ,Friday, May 25, 2012 Driggs Cemetery Driggs, ID, Teton Notes: The family will visit with friends Friday from 9:00 to 10:15 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. in the Driggs Cemetery.
