Sharon Susan McRae, 40, of Three Forks, Montana, passed away August 19, 2014, at her home after losing her strong and courageous battle with cancer. She was under the care of Rocky Mountain Hospice.
Sharon was born February 23, 1974, in Rexburg, Idaho, to John McRae Jr. and Leola Veda Weekes McRae. She grew up in Idaho Falls and attended Idaho Falls High School. She also attended Eastern Idaho Technical College where she earned her GED and an Associate’s Degree.
She was married to Terry Lamont Gardner, and they were later divorced. Sharon made her home in Idaho Falls where she worked as a caregiver for many years. She moved to Montana in 2013 where she worked for Black Hawk Upholstery.
She loved BBQ’s and gatherings with friends and family. She loved spending time with her two daughters Kristin and Heide and loved spoiling her grandchildren.

daughter, Kristin Finigan of Anaconda, MT;
daughter, Heide (Jesse) Teniente of Idaho Falls, ID;
brother, Aaron (Judy) McRae of Idaho Falls, ID;
sister, Patsy Winegar of Rock Springs, WY;
sister, Barbara Atwood of Idaho Falls, ID;
sister, June McRae of Idaho Falls, ID;
grandchildren, Raina Ponciano and Bailey Finigan;
and her dog, Trout.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Robert and Kent McRae, a sister, Wanda Brunson, and a brother-in-law, Alvin Winegar.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. Saturday prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Sutton Cemetery in Archer at a later date.
A memorial fund has been set up in her honor at Westmark Federal Credit Union, with account number 2519004.
