Sharon (Christensen) Kofoed

Sharon Kofoed, 86, passed away November 11, 2024. She died peacefully at home with her family. She lived a long life filled with love, kindness, and sassiness.

Sharon was born August 22,1938, in Bear River City, Utah, to Benjamin and Lorna Christensen. She had five siblings, Jerry, Irene, Carol, Marian, and LaDean. The sisters enjoyed getting together, telling stories and laughing. Their laughter could be heard by all.

She married Sheril Kofoed on June 11,1960. They had four children, Taryl, Kevin, Jennifer and Lori. Sharon was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She will be missed.

Sharon enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, and decorating. She liked hosting family and friends at her home in Idaho Falls and Palisades. Her door was always open, as well as her yard, where she threw many gatherings and parties for special occasions and holidays. On Halloween, she invited everyone in for homemade chili, popcorn balls, and treats. At Christmas, under her gorgeous tree, she had beautifully wrapped presents for family and friends. She loved giving gifts.

Sharon is survived by her son, Taryl; daughter, Lori; son-in-law, Richard; and sister, LaDean.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sheril; her babies, Kevin and Jennifer; her parents, and four siblings.

Sharon loved her many cats over the years, in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your local humane society or animal shelter.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 4 – 6 p.m. at The Brickyard Event Center, 1025 S. Ammon Rd., Ammon, ID. Please bring a memory or story to share.
