Sharon Ruth (Jeffries) Zaroban

Sharon Ruth Jeffries Zaroban, 67, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 20, 2024, at her home.

Sharon was born June 29, 1956, in Denver, Colorado, to Kenneth R. Jeffries and Fredona Jo  Jeffries. She grew up and attended schools in Arvada, Colorado, and graduated from Beth Eden Baptist High School in Wheat Ridge. She also attended MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas, earning her Associates Degree in early childhood education.

On July 10, 1976, she married Lawrence “Larry” G. Zaroban in Lakewood, Colorado. Sharon was an owner and director for a private childcare center in Arvada for 36 years. Sharon and Larry moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, in 2016, where she worked as a teacher for EICAP. She cared for two of her grandchildren.

She attended Christ Community Church. She enjoyed music and played the piano. Sharon lived a life of service dedicated to her love of children and her love of her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Larry Zaroban of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Heidi (Chris) Duran of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Janell (Rich) Bird of Erie, CO; and four grandchildren, Jace, Alexander, Emma, and Myah.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Jeremiah L. Zaroban.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 26, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services, both visitations at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you give to a memorial for the children’s ministries at Christ Community Church.
