Sharon Kay Hill Bowen, 74, of Ammon, passed away December 22, 2016, at her home. She was attended to by QualiCare aids and her loving family. Sharon was born December 1, 1942, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Kermit George Hill and Edna Rose Clifford Hill. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. On November 16, 1962, she married Von Dee Bowen in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. To this union were born three children, Sandra, Kelli and Travis. Sharon and Dee made their home in Ammon, Idaho, where Sharon worked as a Housekeeper for Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Dee passed away on August 31, 2006. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sharon enjoyed Gold Wing motorcycles, her grandchildren, book club and lunches with the ladies. Sharon is survived by son, Travis (Sarah) Bowen of Iona, ID; daughter, Kelli Aders of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Sandra Bowen of Greeley, CO; brother, Gaylon (JoAnn) Hill of Davis, WV; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers; Larry Hill and Lonny Hill. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, with Bishop Jed Stanger officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 6-7:30 p.m. and Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m., both visitations at Wood East Side. Burial will be in the Rigby-Pioneer Cemetery.
