Dear Phil,
We learned just yesterday of Sharon's passing. While this method seems a little impersonal to convey our condolences we are grateful for this service provided by Woods. We love you and Sharon and are grateful for the visit we had a few months ago. We have always been esteemed by our association with you dear people. Both of you are easy to be entreated. We spoke with J.C. Hart and Dorothy Skidmore this morning. It was a sad exchange but a nostalgic few moments we had reminiscing about the great times we had so long ago. The centennial ball, the many dances we enjoyed together, the parties at our homes are an important part of our lives. Thank you for being who you are. Our thoughts and blessings go with you as you adjust to this significant loss. We look forward to seeing you in the future. We shall miss Sharon but we know of where she is and look forward to seeing her again. God bless you our very dear good friend.

Sharon was a very special, lovable, caring person who brought a lot of joy to us during some of our trying times in Chile. She was always so happy, upbeat and cheerful and always had a smile on her face. We know she will be missed and want you to know that you are in our hearts and in our prayers. Thanks for being such a powerful, positive influence in our short stay in Chile and for all the wonderful things you both did while you were there. Again, please accept our heart-felt sympathies.

Dear Affleck Family,
I am so sorry to learn of Sharon's passing. Sharon and I were roomates during the time we both lived in San Francisco in the 1950's. There were three of us, Sharon, me and Holly Glanville, now Holly Benson. We were all so young and wonderful and we had great times together. I remember the good times and Sharon with fondness and gratitude. We kept in touch for a time after she left San Francisco for the Foreign Service and I went further west to Hawaii, where I lived for the next 45 years. I reconnected with Holly two years ago when I returned to live in Utah. We hoped to come to Idaho to visit Sharon after learning of her illness. I am sorry we didn't get to do that. The smiles and the laughter we shared will remain with me until we meet again.
May Peace be with all of you.
Aloha,
Nina Armstrong

Sharon was my first tennis partner when I moved to Idaho Falls 30 years ago. She was soooo competetive. I was always amazed how she was so talented. She could do anything!! The memories of our tennis team and how we always used to find ourselves in extreme predictiments. She trained horses, raised brillant children and yet saw the world from a different look. She influenced me in so many ways . . . I will always be grateful for my experiences and connections with her. A brillant tslented woman with potential we will never even know . . . I love you!!
