Shala Dawn Ockerman, 36, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 4, 2018, at her home. Shala was born October 6, 1981, in Blackfoot, Idaho. She was adopted shortly after her birth by Rodger Ray Ockerman and Juanita Jean Ockerman. She grew up in the Goshen area and attended schools in Firth. She graduated from Firth High School in 2000. She participated in training for many years at the Development Workshop. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint. She enjoyed going to the Development Workshop and hanging out with her friends. She loved going to the Eastern Idaho State Fair. She loved shopping on Amazon and watching the Philadelphia Eagles play football. She also loved to watch wrestling and John Cena was her favorite. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her husband of sixteen years, William Travis Field, and her family. Shala is survived by her loving husband, William Travis Field of Idaho Falls, ID, mother, Juanita Jean Ockerman of Shelley, ID, sister, Valerie (Randy) Owen of Idaho Falls, ID, brother, Sheldon Ockerman of Shelley, ID, brother, Micheal (Wendy) Ockerman of Idaho Falls, ID, sister, Bethane (Monte) Hackman of Idaho Falls, ID, brother, Rodger (Jessie) Ockerman of Arco, ID. She was preceded in death by her father, Rodger Ray Ockerman. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:30-8 p.m. and Friday from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to services, both visitations at Wood East Side. Burial will be in the Goshen Cemetery.
