Sgt. Maj. Lowell Storer

Lowell was born July 8, 1940, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Walter and Ruby Storer, the second of seven children. He passed away Dec. 23, 2016, in Tucson, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his youngest son, Norman.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gerlinde, and his sons, Michael and Bryan, their spouses, and four grandchildren.

He served 32 years in the U.S. Army, most of which as a Green Beret. He also served two tours of duty in Vietnam. Lowell loved being a soldier and a Green Beret. After his retirement, he worked for and retired from the Central Arizora Project (CAP).

Lowell was a kind and gentle man who loved all animals, especially his dogs, Peppi and Sam, whom he rescued from the desert. We will forever miss him.

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m with the funeral service al 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., Idahc Falls, Idaho, after which he will be interred at Rose Hill Cemetery.

11:00 AM ,Saturday, January 14, 2017 Wood Funeral Home 273 North Ridge Avenue Idaho Falls, ID 83402 Notes: The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
