Scott Ryan Tobias, 48, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021, in Heber City, Utah.
He was born on December 2, 1972, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Dale and Sharon Tobias.
Scott graduated from Skyline High School in 1991, and then served a two-year mission from 1992-1994, in Moscow, Russia. After his mission he graduated from Ricks College and Brigham Young University. He attended Northern Arizona University, where he received his Masters Degrees in English and Applied Linguistics. Some of his occupations included Printer at Artco in Rexburg, Idaho; Russian teacher at the Provo MTC; District Manager at UPS in Show Low, AZ; and management positions at Target and Bolthouse Farms in Bakersfield, California.
Scott met many friends along his journey of life and made a positive impact on so many. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fly fishing, camping, backpacking in the White Clouds wilderness area with his Dad and friends and enjoying the beaches in California. He will be remembered for his contagious smile and sense of humor.
Scott was married to Sally Ann Hancock from 1992-2008. They had five children together. He was married to Jennifer Driggs from 2009-2015, and they had one child together.
Scott leaves behind six beloved children, a daughter-in-law, and two granddaughters: Travis Scott and Carrera (Emmarie and Evangeline), Shelby Ann, Samuel Dale, Sydney Kathryn, Brigham Hancock, and Kaitlyn Sharon.
He is also survived by his parents, Dale and Sharon Tobias of Idaho Falls, ID; brothers, Steven (Janalee) Tobias of South Jordan, UT and Michael (Melba) Tobias of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Christine (Dave) Nelson of Rigby, ID; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls, Idaho. A visitation will be held from 1-1:45 p.m.
