Scott Blair Nichols, 60, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 25, 2011 at the home of his daughter. He was under the loving care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. Scott was born August 10, 1951, in Pocatello, Idaho to John Melford Nichols and Beulah Call Nichols. He grew up in Idaho Falls and attended A.H. Bush Elementary, O.E. Bell Jr. High, and Skyline High School. Scott was a jack of all trades and at some point, he did everything: construction, mechanics, route driver, serviceman, and small business owner. He enjoyed anything outdoors including fishing, hunting, boating, camping, and playing softball. Scott will be remembered as a great friend with a mischievous smile and will be greatly missed. Survivors include: Daughter, Kimberli (Eric) Southwick of Idaho Falls, ID; Son, Brett (Tracy) Nichols of Parker, Co; Stepson, Chris Brown of Los Angeles, CA; Stepdaughters, Kimberly Williams, Tiffany Williams, and Brittany Williams all of Heber, AZ; Two grandchildren, TJ and Jordyn; Two step-grandchildren, Mariah and Mitchell; Brothers, Melvin Nichols and Dave Nichols; and his Sister, Carna Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2011 at Wood East Side Funeral Home (963 South Ammon Road). The family will visit with friends from 1 to 1:45 p.m. prior to services. Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Scott’s name to the American Cancer Society, 2676 Vista Avenue, Boise, ID 83705.
