I met you in Pocatello and interviewed with you at a career fair. I enjoyed our visit. When I heard about your son, my heart broke. I wanted to let you know how very sorry I am. Nothing hurts as much as losing a child. Even though time softens the pain, memories remain forever of the precious time we spend with our children. Please know how much we feel for you. Our prayers are with you and your family. Sincerely, Gail Snedigar Von & Ramona Anderson (vonand@juno.com) We are very sorry about your loss. If there is anything we can do to help let us know. John I could not have more respect for you as a leader and colleague. I am honored to be associated with you in this great work. In honor of Scott we will be contributing to the Endowment fund. May God bless you. Sincerely, Chuck Mark Willis (wil00041@byui.edu) I remember Scott as an energetic friend of mine who I knew from IFHS, Seminary, and the MTC. Scott was in the MTC for some of the time I was there. We always seemed to be able to find each other before Sunday Devotionals. Before the devotional would start he and I would explain what we had learned about our languages in the past week. Scott was always excited and eager to share the new sounds and word structure of his language. I know he was able to teach the people of the Philippines because he had such a great desire to share his testimony with others. I will miss Scott, but will have pleasant memories of the time we spent talking together and the letters we wrote each other while in the mission field. Mark Willis Cody Claver (cclaver@k12.com) Dear John: It was with great sadness that I heard of Scott's passing. I have many fond memories of Scott from when we crossed paths at Clair E. Gale Junior High. Scott always was a pleasant young man and very much enjoyed talking to him. He had great intellect and was very much a deep thinker. I appreciated too his determination and hard work as well on the athletic field, especially watching him endeavor in track and field. My heart and my prayers are with you, Marie and the rest of your family. Scott was a wonderful young man and he will be missed. Sincerely, Cody Claver Sharon Portela (portela@usa.com) Dear President and Sister Murdoch, I am so surprised at the death of your sweet son that I don't know what to say.
