Saundra Kay Anderson, 84, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 31, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was under the care of Eden Home Health and Hospice.
Saundra was born August 5, 1940, in Ammon, Idaho, to Eldon Laver Winder and Edith Young Winder. She grew up in Idaho, California, and Washington State, and attended schools in California and Washington.
Saundra made her home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where she worked as a chef for Mountain Bell until they closed. She then became a bartender for Weston Lamplighter until her retirement.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking, spending time with family (especially her grandkids and great grandkids), and loved going on drives with her son, Lincoln.
Saundra is survived by her son, Lincoln Sanford of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Cami Lewis of Boise, ID; sister, Lorraine Gadberry of Roseville, CA; brother, Dennis (Beverly) Winder of Austin, TX; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eldon Laver “Ver” Winder; mother, Edith Winder; son, Gregory Sanford; brother, Ken Winder; brother, Bart Winder; grandmother, Elizabeth Young; and grandfather, Angus Young.
Family services will be held at Grant-Central Cemetery on her birthday, August 5, 2025.
