Sarah Hix

Sarah Rowe Jones Hix, age 46, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away on December 29, 2025.

In her early years, before Kindergarten, Sarah faced significant challenges as a result of a traumatic birth. With her mother’s strong, devoted support, she worked very hard to overcome those early obstacles–-an effort that revealed her perseverance and quiet strength from the very beginning of her life.

Sarah was very sweet, kind, and always thoughtful of her family and those around her. She loved the Lord and embraced the Golden Rule, striving to treat others with kindness, compassion, and care.

Sarah worked in several office-based positions over the years; however, her favorite and most meaningful work was as a home care attendant, where she found purpose in caring for others and offering comfort and support to those in need.

She is survived by her beloved son and only child, Taylor Hix; her father, Tom R. Jones (Margaret Brooks); her brothers, Tommy Jones (Kevin) and Simon Jones (Samantha, divorced); her mother-in-law, Kathy Poulsen (Taylor’s grandmother); and her husband, Cory Hix. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lisa S. Jones, who passed away in 2018. Sarah is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will remember her fondly.
