Sandra Kay Poole

Sandra Kay Poole, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 18, 2026, at her home. She was under the care of Mission Hospice.

Sandra was born August 25, 1946, in Ogden, Utah, to John Allison Emmitt and Doris LaVon King Emmitt. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho, Ohio, Oregon, Washington, and California. She graduated from Pymatuning Valley High School in Andover, Ohio in 1964.

Sandra worked as a clerical receptionist for Parkview Hospital, Good Samaritan, and Teton Pharmacy.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, painting, coloring, and diamond art.

Sandra is survived by her daughter, Kerri Kathleen (Michael) Huyck of Kennewick, WA; brother, John A. (Tina) Emmitt of Fairview Park, OH; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Doris Emmitt; sister, Shirley Rae Severa; brother, Fred Lyle Emmitt; and sister, Lori Lynn Emmitt.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Rose Hill Cemetery, 2355 Rollandet in Idaho Falls.
