Sandra Ann Godsil Miller, 70, of Ammon, passed away January 24, 2011 at Mountain Valley Assisted Living after a year-long battle with ovarian cancer.
Sandra was born March 24, 1940, in Galesburg, Illinois to Louis Henry Godsil and Aileen Anna Wiess Godsil. She attended schools in Galesburg. She graduated from high school in Klickitat, Washington. She received an Associate Degree from the University of Illinois and obtained a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from the University of California, San Bernadino. Sandra worked as a Registered Nurse from 1975 until 2004, caring for critically ill patients.
On May 2, 1959 she married James Lawrence Miller in Bancroft, West Virginia. A strong woman, Sandra prepared the family for each move, following James in his military service. They lived in France, Germany, Spain, England, Japan, California, Washington, Illinois, Montana, Florida, North Carolina and Idaho. James preceded her in death on December 3, 2004.
She was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church, where she served as an eucharistic minister. Sandra enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family.

Sister: Alana (Terry) Nevenner of Vancouver, WA
13 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2011 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church on the corner of 9th and Lee in Idaho Falls, Idaho, with Father Jairo officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Rd. The Rosary will follow the visitation. Sandra will be interred next to James in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org in honor of Sandra Miller.
