Click Here To View Memorial Video Sandra ‘Sandy’ Jo Bates, 57 of Idaho Falls, passed away March 20, 2014, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls. In her final moments she was surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was under the care of Hearts for Hospice. Sandra was born March 9, 1957 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Alfred Reed Bates and Marjorie Christine Freeman Bates. She grew up in Idaho Falls and attended Ethel Boys Elementary and Skyline High School. Sandra graduated from the ROTC. In 1992 she married Gary Lynn Triplett in Idaho Falls. Sandra and Gary were later divorced. Sandra was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked as a waitress at the Noth Hi-Way Café and as a cashier at Tobacco Connection and Walmart. Sandra enjoyed reading and gardening. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Trevor K. Bates of Tacoma, WA daughter, Taneil Nicoe Triplett of Idaho Falls, ID brother, Kenneth (Hattie) Bates of Fayetteville, NC brother, Don (Franny) Fedder of Idaho Falls, ID brother, Dennis (Sue) Bates of Idaho Falls, ID sister, LaRae (Dick) Brinda of Minnesota and 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers, Barry Kent, Dougie, Bobby, Roger and Ron Bates. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Wood Funeral Home, 963 S. Ammon, with Bishop Greg Horton officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Ammon Cemetery.
