Samuel S. Seiber - 08/01/2002 Samuel S. Seiber - 08/01/2002 SAMUEL SEIBER Samuel Simpson Seiber, 66, of Idaho Falls, died July 12, 2002, at his home from heart failure. He was born April 26, 1936 to Calvin Elsworth Seiber and Virginia Ruth Baumgardner Seiber in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. He attended schools in Spruce Creek, Pennsylvania before enlisting in the Air Force where he served as an Airman 1st Class from 1954 to 1958. He then moved to the Denver and Boulder, Colorado areas where he attended the University of Colorado for his Bachelor of Science Degree. He attended University of Idaho and Metro State College for his post graduate studies. He married S. Jean Turnquist October 22, 1955 in Boulder, Colorado. They were later divorced. He was employed as a Quality Assurance and Quality Control Engineer for Dow Chemical at the INEEL, and also did private consulting. He was a senior member of ASQC and Certified Quality and Reliability Engineer and also a member of ANS National. He enjoyed spending time with his children and his grandsons, Rich, Kris, and Mike Simmons, and was an avid back packer, fisherman, loved skiing, working in his yard, and hunting for artifacts. He appreciated his special friends Will and Norma Oviatt, who helped him when he was ill and were his fishing buddies.
