Biography

Samuel Winsor Hunt Jr., 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 17, 2011 at Good Samaritan Society Idaho Falls Village. He was born November 17, 1922 in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, to Samuel Winsor Hunt Sr., and Frances "Honey" Polenski Hunt. He graduated from Prairie du Chien High School. He served in the US Navy. He married Betty Gale Owens on March 17, 1946 in Seattle, Washington. They moved to Idaho Falls in 1969. He worked as a self employed painter. Betty preceded him in death on November 4, 2006. Sam married Vivian McIsaac on August 7, 2009 in Idaho Falls. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed writing and playing music on his guitar. Survivors include: Wife: Vivian McIsaac, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Sherri (Ken) Harvey, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Sam Hunt III, Swan Valley, ID Son: Brad (Christie) Hunt, Tucson, AZ Son: Wally Hunt, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Ricky (Liz) Hunt, Tucson, AZ Son: Ed McIsaac, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Richard (Terri) McIsaac, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Dave (MaryJo) McIsaac, Pocatello, ID Daughter: Christy McIsaac, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Richard Hunt, Meade, Utah Sister: Sue Crow, Union City, AZ Sister: Fran Hupter, Dubuque, IA 36 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty.
