Sam Hunt

Samuel Winsor Hunt, 71, of Blackfoot, passed away June 27, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Sam was born November 17, 1952, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Samuel Winsor Hunt and Betty Gayle Owens Hunt. He grew up and attended schools in Santa Fe Springs, California, and graduated from high school.

Sam made his home in Swan Valley, Idaho, where he enjoyed fishing, cooking for friends and family, and watching old western movies.

Sam is survived by his daughter, Crystal (Justin) Peterslie of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Sherri Harvey of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Bradley (Christie) Hunt of Pagosa Springs, CO; brother, Wally Hunt of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Rick (Elizabeth) Hunt of Tucson, AZ; and 2 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
