It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sadie Ann Tharp, 42, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, who passed away on November 28, 2024, at her home in Idaho Falls. Sadie was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and friend, known for her bubbly personality, infectious laughter, and vibrant spirit that touched everyone she encountered.
Sadie was born on August 10, 1982, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Larry and Lillian Jones. She grew up in the Firth, Idaho, area and graduated from Firth High School in 2001. She was known for having the stature of a Polly Pocket, but the heart of a giant. Her loving and joyful nature made her a friend to all, and she had an incredible ability to light up every room she entered. Sadie was a devoted mother to her children, Carlee Beau Crnkovich, Kennedy Cache Crnkovich, and Kai Fox Tharp, and she cherished every moment spent with them, always bringing laughter and happiness into their lives.
Sadie had a deep passion for helping others, and she loved her career as a respiratory therapist. She worked at Bingham Memorial Hospital and Mountain View Hospital, where she touched many lives with her skill, compassion, and dedication. Her work brought her fulfillment and gave her the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of her patients and their families.
In addition to her career, Sadie had a zest for life that was unmatched. She loved snowboarding, traveling to new places, spending time at the beach, and playing golf. She was also a true animal lover, with a kind heart that extended to all creatures. Sadie especially loved her childhood pets, her Alaskan Malamute, Schnook, as well as her Tennessee Walker, Jack. Sadie’s energy and enthusiasm for life were contagious, inspiring those around her to embrace each day with joy and adventure.
Sadie is survived by her children, Carlee, Kennedy, and Kai; her parents, Larry and Lillian Jones; and her brother, Nathan Jones. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Mel and Ellen Jones; and maternal grandparents, Jay Darwin and Marjorie Baxter.
A memorial service to celebrate Sadie’s life will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 3-5 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. Friends and family are invited to gather and share memories of Sadie. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to her Memorial Bench in her honor.
