Seth Darrell Reeder, 93, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 31, 2012, peacefully at home.
He was born April 30, 1919, in Ogden, Utah, to Daniel Seth Reeder and Lillias Hadley Reeder. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Ogden High School. He served as a missionary from 1939 until 1941, in the Western States LDS Mission. He graduated from Weber College and the University of Utah, where he received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. In 1945, he worked on the Manhattan Project in Oakridge, Tennessee. He earned his doctorate degree in chemistry with a minor in physics from the University of Washington. He worked at Idaho National Engineering Laboratory for 35 years as a research chemist.
On July 22, 1946, he married Mary Lou Foutz in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many positions. He enjoyed the computer, photography and genealogy. He was also proficient in using all electronic devices, including his iPad.

Son: David (Susan) Reeder of Idaho Falls, ID
Daughter: Nancy (Douglas) Weber of Idaho Falls, ID
19 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012, at the Idaho Falls LDS Westview Ward, 2020 S. Charlotte Drive, with Bishop Darren Rose officiating. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, and on Thursday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church.
Burial will be at 12 Noon Friday, November 9, 2012, in the Brigham City, Utah, City Cemetery.
