Ryan Bates

Ryan Lee Bates, 33, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 13, 2016, at his home. Ryan was born April 14, 1982, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Clayton Bates and Maria VaLyn Whitmill Bates. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. Ryan made his home in Idaho Falls, where he was self employed. He enjoyed playing softball and basketball, watching college basketball, and loved supporting his nieces and nephews and attended their games. Ryan is survived by his mother, Maria Bates of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Justin Matt (Lisa) Bates of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Philip (Melissa) Bates of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Richard (Cindy) Bates of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Kara Bates of Idaho Falls, ID; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Bates; grandparents, Dan and Thelma Bates and Lynn J. Whitmill and Vaudis Shippen; and niece, Adora Davis. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2016, at the Idaho Falls LDS Templeview Ward, 1450 Mountain View Lane.
