Ruth Longacre

Ruth Gail Longacre, 76, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 18, 2021, at Turtle & Crane Assisted Living.

Ruth was born August 2, 1944, in Santa Monica, CA, to Francis Alvin Fuell and Mary Jane Andrews Fuell.  She graduated from Idaho Falls High School.  She attended college, where she obtained her practical nursing degree and license.

On September 3, 1966, she married Terry Russell Longacre in Idaho Falls, ID.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple on September 3, 1968.  Ruth was a licensed practical nurse and worked for several nursing homes.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, spending time with her grandchildren and camping with her family.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Carla (Patrick Singleton) Strickling of Coeur D Alene, ID; son, Carl (Tiffany) Longacre of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Arlitta Longacre of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Roland (Jocelyn) Longacre of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Michael (Rose) Longacre of Idaho Falls, ID; son, John Longacre of Idaho Falls, ID; brothers, Frank Fuell and Andy Goldsberry; sisters, LouAnn Curtis and Wanda Likes; 21 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Russell Longacre; parents, Francis and Mary Fuell; brother, Darwin Goldsberry; sister, Naomi Goldsberry Cole; and brother, Wayne D. Fuell.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls, with Bishop Scholes and Bishop Ferguson officiating.  Services will be broadcast live at www.woodfuneralhome.com. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening  and Saturday from 1:00 - 1:45 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
